3) Talking about BackerKit, I can't be bothered to figure out shipping at the moment so, I'm just going to give FREE SHIPPING on Add-Ons until the end of the month!!! I'll start locking orders in November and then shipping rewards shortly thereafter! For those who still feel that they should contribute toward shipping costs, you can always add money to the Tip Jar. :) Thank you all for your questions regarding these matters! In short, except for Paypal payments, nothing in your BackerKit survey has been charged yet so feel free to change, add-on, re-choose, etc. anything in your order until the orders are locked! They will make wonderful holiday gifts!!!

5) Talking about updates, the Case Wrap has undergone many changes since the Kickstarter began. Note that the picture of the Case Wrap on the Kickstarter page was a just a mockup and we hadn't finalized the design at that point. Anyway, to better reflect the story and the overall design of the book, we decided to go with a simpler design for the Case Wrap and upgrade the hardcover to a clothbound hardcover! The embossed foil stamp will still be gold. I have attached a comparison picture of the old and new Case Wrap designs...but, for the new one, you will have to image the blue clothbound hardcover and the design in gold foil because I don't have a mockup of that yet. Very sorry. As soon as I get a picture of the new Case Wrap, I will send it in an update.
8) I've recently learned A LOT about the different kinds of paper used for printing children's books and discovered that the paper I actually wanted all along was called "uncoated paper" and not "matte coated paper." My very patient prepress manager was kind enough to reprint all the proofs on uncoated paper and my printer/binder was kind enough to requote the price. As it turns out, "uncoated paper" is more expensive than "matte coated paper." But, once I saw the way Mariya's watercolor pictures looked on the paper (like they had just been painted on the page by her own hand) and how the vintage feel of the book was solidified, I knew I had to publish the book with "uncoated paper" no matter the cost. So, if you're wondering where some of the surplus from the Kickstarter has gone, rest assured that it has gone into upgrading the quality of the book and making it as perfect as it can be. Also, many of my friends who are parents have thanked me for making the paper "uncoated" because they dislike the shininess of the "matte coated" and "glossy coated" papers.
7) So, charging for shipping has become my nemesis. Sigh. Thank you all for the many messages that you have sent to me about this matter. The short answer is that I screwed up in putting the shipping costs into Kickstarter and BackerKit. But, don't worry...I am slowly sorting through this issue and have already either credited your accounts or given refunds. Please feel free to message me if you have any issues with shipping costs. The "Seed," "Sprout," "Sapling," "Little Tree," "Early Bird," "Flash Dash," "1x Little Moss Big Tree (Unsigned)" levels all come with free shipping. Shipping costs apply to all other levels and add-ons.
8) Activity Book as an Add-On = the activity book will be sent as a downloadable PDF and you can print out as many copies as you wish. So, you only need one PDF and you don't have to buy it as an add-on unless it doesn't automatically accompany your reward level.
9) If you are unhappy with any of these changes or updates and would like a refund, please feel free to message me and I will sort that out for you immediately! As many of you know the beauty of Kickstarter is that you are supporting startups and indie-wannabe-companies who have not established themselves yet. Since this is my first foray into publishing, many things are bound to change as I learn and grow. I believe that all the changes I have made are for the better and I cannot wait to see how it all turns out! Thank you again for your continued support and patience. I really appreciate you and am striving to deliver a product that you will be happy to own and read.
